Free tracing lines worksheets, for before letters
Four printable pre-writing pages: the lines and shapes a child traces before letters. Each page shows two shapes large, with a green dot numbered for where the pencil starts and a red arrow for the way it goes. Below them are rows of the same shapes in dots to trace.

What is on each page

These are the strokes the print letters are built from. Down lines make l and t, slants make v, w and x, circles make o, a and d, and a cross is a t. That is why the pages go in this order, and why they come before A in a book.
