Type a word, or a few, and get a printable PDF. The sheet writes it large at the top on four-line handwriting guides, with a numbered green dot where each stroke starts and a red arrow for the way it goes. Below that are rows of the word in dotted letters to trace, and empty lines at the bottom to write it without help. No font to install, nothing to line up by hand. It's free, with no sign-up, and what you type never leaves your browser.

One page, like this one for "cat sun dog". The words once, big, with start dots and arrows on every letter, in the same print letters as the Trace Press workbook. Then the words in dotted letters, repeated across each row as many times as they fit. Every row sits on four-line guides: a solid top line, a dashed midline, a solid baseline and a dotted line for tails. The last rows are left blank to write on.
Capitals A–Z, lowercase a–z and the numbers 0–9, up to 16 characters and spaces: a few short words, a sight word or two, or a name. Accented letters and punctuation aren't drawn yet. The note under the box says when something was left out. The more you type, the smaller the letters, so they fit across the page. For one child's name, the name tracing worksheet is the same tool.
With a dotted font in Canva, Word or Google Docs, you set up the page yourself: the line size, the spacing, and any start dots or arrows. Here the page is set up for you, and each letter is drawn as the strokes a pencil makes, so the arrows follow the stroke order.
Trace Press makes a full A–Z letter tracing workbook with these same letters and guides, plus its cover, laid out to Amazon KDP's rules so it can be sold as a paperback. It's free to try; $19 once makes it ready to sell. Or see a finished book first.
