Free preschool tracing worksheets
A pack to print for a preschooler: four pages of lines to trace first, then the capital letters A to Z, then the numbers 0 to 9, one to a page. Everything is on big 1" lines, the size Trace Press uses for ages 4–5.
Download the worksheets (PDF, 40 pages)
8.5" × 11", about 220 KB, no sign-up. Print the pages you want, or all of them. A small footer line says where they came from.
What is in the pack
- Pages 1 to 4: pre-writing lines (straight lines, slants, zigzags, waves, circles and crosses) to trace before any letters. The tracing lines worksheets page has them on their own.
- Pages 5 to 30: one capital letter a page, A to Z. The first letter is large, with numbered strokes and arrows showing where to start and which way to go, then rows of dotted letters to trace.
- Pages 31 to 40: the numbers 0 to 9, set out the same way.
- Four-line guides on every row: a top line, a dashed midline, a solid baseline and a dotted line below. The 1" is the height from the top line to the baseline.
When they're ready for more
The lowercase letter tracing worksheets come next, or the letter tracing worksheets with both cases on one page. A name tracing worksheet puts your child's own name on the lines. To print the same pack at a different line size or page size, open it in Trace Press and change the settings before you download.
Making a preschool workbook to sell?
Trace Press makes this as a whole book, with its cover, laid out to Amazon KDP's paperback rules, at any of four line sizes and six page sizes. The guide to making a tracing book for KDP has the page counts, cover sizes and print cost.
