An A–Z handwriting workbook, ready to upload to KDP

Pick a trim size and a line size. You get a 26-page paperback interior: one page for each letter, capital and lowercase. Each page has a model letter with numbered start dots and arrows showing stroke order, rows of dotted letters to trace, and rows for writing the letter alone. Add your own practice words (sight words, a theme, names) and each gets a page after Z, so your book isn't the same as the next seller's. There's a matching full-wrap cover too. It's all built in your browser. No sign-up.

Trim size Line size

The height from the top line to the baseline on the tracing rows. Bigger lines are for younger hands.

Bleed

Only turn this on if you chose bleed in KDP. The page is then 0.125" wider and 0.25" taller, as KDP asks.

Numbers 0–9

Ten more pages after Z, one for each digit, with start dots and arrows like the letters.

Practice words (optional)

Sight words, names, a theme. Separate them with commas or new lines. Each gets a page after Z: the word large with start dots and arrows, then rows to trace. Letters and numbers only, up to 52 words (42 with Numbers 0–9 on).

Built to KDP's manuscript rules

Six KDP paperback trims, from 5" × 8" to 8.5" × 11", with or without bleed.
Inside, outside, top and bottom margins at KDP's minimums for the page count. Every mark sits 1/32" inside them, and the test suite renders every page to pixels to check that.
Every line at least 0.75 pt thick, every grey well darker than KDP's 10% minimum, and all text 7 pt or larger.
Fonts embedded (Liberation Sans).
A full-wrap cover, back, spine and front on one page, sized for the book's page count and your paper, with the barcode area left clear. Your title, subtitle and name, and a big traced "Aa" on the front.

Stroke order you can see

Every letter is drawn as the strokes a pencil makes, not as a font outline. The model letter numbers where each stroke starts, and red arrows show which way it goes. The letters follow a vertical manuscript (ball-and-stick) style.

Numbers 0–9

Tick Numbers 0–9 and the book gets ten more pages after Z, one for each digit, laid out like the letter pages: the number large with a numbered start dot and arrows, then rows to trace. Each follows a published school number formation chart: the 4 open with the short stroke first, the 5's hat last, the 8 as an S with a line back up. To print just the numbers, the free number tracing worksheets are the ten pages as a PDF.

Your own words, after Z

Type up to 52 words in the Practice words box. Each gets its own page: the word large with start dots and arrows on every letter, rows of it to trace, and blank lines to write it alone. The page count and the cover's spine width follow. 52 words keeps the book under 79 pages, the point where KDP starts allowing spine text, so the blank spine stays correct.

Free, or $19 once

The free PDF is the whole book, with a small "Made with Trace Press" footer line on every page, and the free cover has PREVIEW across the front. Pay $19 once and every book and cover you make from then on is clean, so you can sell it. There's no subscription. The unlock is tied to the email you pay with. Checkout is hosted by Stripe and may show the account holder's name rather than "Trace Press".
